Fundraising

Thank you to everyone who supported and participated in our first restaurant night of the year at IPie on August 22, 2016.  The event was a success!  Every restaurant fundraiser this school year benefits the playground fundraising effort. Every bit counts, so please come out and support the school playground and make sure to tell the restaurant you are there on behalf of Lawrence Elementary.

The Big Kahuna fundraiser closed on September 20, 2016.  Participation rate was high and several students qualified for the limousine ride and pizza party.

The Butter Braids fundraiser ran smoothly. Delivery occurred in time for the Christmas Break.Thank you 6th Grade for helping PTA deliver small orders to students in their classrooms. Large orders were picked up in the library by parents after school.

Do you eat at Red Robin?  Sign up for their loyalty card and 1% of your total bill will benefit Lawrence PTA.

This year we need your support with every fundraising effort to purchase among other things, Chrome Books for the school, and to continue to support ongoing efforts to support the new playground.

Chipotle Restaurant Night was held January 19, 2017 in the Olde Town location. Thanks to everyone who came out for dinner and to support the school playground fundraiser.

World’s Finest Chocolates started February 17, 2017 through March 6, 2017. Deliveries were made in time for Easter. Many 4th graders used this fundraiser as a way to earn funds toward their much-anticipated trip to the Royal Gorge coming up on May 11th. Way to go!

Westerra Credit Union
This will be an ongoing form of a fundraiser which officially launched February 13, 2017. Dana Russell with Westerra Credit Union attended the PTA meeting on February 21, 2017. She brought custom-made color flyers bearing the newest Lawrence Elementary logo designed by one of our own PTA members, Patti Jones. Parents/families and Lawrence Staff are encouraged to ask questions and get involved to maximize the benefits of this program that will help the school earn returns from the simplest of efforts. For each new account opened, Westerra will pay Lawrence Elementary PTA $52.80! (A basic savings account can be opened for a child with a minimum of $5.00) Please see our page specifically dedicated to the Westerra Credit Union fundraiser. See the individual tab labeled “Westerra Fundraiser” for more details.

Steuben’s Restaurant Fundraiser was held Tuesday, February 21, 2017. This fundraiser had a very strong showing because they offered us proceeds earned all day. Thank you Lawrence Community! Every bit helps and goes to the playground funds.

Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast
Located in Olde Town, the local Applebee’s restaurant hosted an all-you-can eat breakfast for 2 hours on the morning of March 25, 2017. Tickets were sold for $10 and the breakfast included pancakes, sausage, coffee, or juice. Thanks to everyone who came out including one of our fabulous teachers, Mrs. Campbell!!! Thank you for your support.

Race to Read Car Show
PTA hosted some of the most amazing racers with their incredible cars that will be seen this season at Bandimere Speedway! Bandimere Speedway sponsors the Race to Read Contest that started over spring break on March 27th and runs through May 5th. You still have time to get those time sheets completed. After the 3rd sheet, the student wins a ticket and an adult ticket to the Night of Fire and Thunder on May 20, 2017.

Box Tops for Education
This continues to be a popular ongoing project that brings in funds for the school rather easily. Early in April, PTA sent home a complete list of products that feature Box Tops and a new spring-themed collection sheet. A new Box Top Committee was formed in February, but any additional interested parties are always welcome to join. We meet approximately twice a month to collect, prepare, and submit Box Tops through the designated Box Top Coordinator (the PTA secretary). We are also focused on maintaining the Box Tops bulletin board and the healthy competition going among each class at Lawrence. Winning classes are awarded a party with a selection of any of the following: popsicles, mini muffins, doughnut holes, brownies, etc. Children who label their Box Tops (collection sheet, loose in a Ziplock baggie, or envelope) are awarded a Box Tops Tootsie pop. Keep those clippings going over the summer and PTA will resume collection and tracking individual class submissions in August.
A few reminders to keep in mind: Box Tops expire–check the expiration date and make sure to clip the tops so the code and the expiration date are visible; please do not staple Tops to the collection sheets–either glue or tape is preferred; try to label your child’s contributions by writing their name on the collection sheet or on the baggie or envelope containing your Box Tops; don’t forget to cut the large bonus Tops on multiple or bulk items (usually from Sam’s or Costco).Thank you for keeping those Box Tops coming in each month!

Longmont Dairy Caps
We accept Longmont Dairy caps from any of the bottled items. Once our box located at the front entrance of the school is filled, a Longmont Dairy representative will pick it up and the school will receive payment. If you don’t have this dairy service personally, reach out to friends, family, or neighbors who do to help support our school. Thank you!
